Meet Matt Cavallo

Matt Cavallo was born and raised right here in Wayne and has spent his life serving this community through public safety and local leadership. Achieving the rank of Eagle Scout instilled a lifelong commitment to leadership and civic duty; since then he has spent years on the front lines as a volunteer firefighter, protecting the lives and property of his neighbors, and as a certified volunteer EMT, providing critical life-saving care to residents in need.

For more than ten years Matt has chaired the Our Lady of the Valley Annual Festival, bringing the community together year after year, and he has dedicated his time to municipal boards to help keep Wayne a great place to live. Professionally, Matt is a seasoned municipal administrator who works daily with elected officials, county partners, and state agencies — coordinating with boards and local professionals to deliver effective government services. He earned a BA in Political Science from Montclair State University and a Master of Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University to better serve local government. His leadership focuses on implementing real solutions for residents rather than engaging in political games — and on maintaining the hometown character and safety of our town.
